We strive to ensure that our patients are as comfortable as possible during their stay.

•   Wide screen HDTV
     Each bed is equipped with its own TV set with a selection of DSTV channels. Headphones will be
     provided for comfort and privacy -please ask your care worker how you may access a pair.

•   Bedside Cabinet
     A lockable, bedside cabinet is provided for patients to store personal items.

•   Wireless Internet Access
     Although we do not recommend that patients bring valuables such as laptop computers to the
     hospital, Ethekwini Hospital & Heart Centre is a WiFi hotspot. Please ask your care worker for details on
     how to access the internet from your laptop computer.

•   Muslim Prayer Room
     A prayer room is available to patients and visitors and is located on the 4th floor of the hospital.

•   Christian Chapel
     A small chapel for patients and visitors is located in the lower basement of the hospital.

•   Smoking
     Ethekwini Hospital & Heart Centre is a non smoking environment- smoking is only permitted in
